Anyone that knows me will know how sentimental I am. I was introduced to ‘product’ by the original Triads store on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough around 1997, I was in love! The music, the shop fit, the brands, the ritual! Prada Sport, Fake London Genius, Maharishi, Levi’s RED, Miu Miu…
There were only independents back then. The good old days. Authentic, of their area and with so much love and attitude. The feeling that store and that product gave me back that will never be matched, it was a different world, I was a boy!
I still have a surprising amount from back then and if I don’t, I’m on vinted looking for it! My year 11 school shoes were square toe slip on Prada Sports!
Fast forward 25+ years and it was an absolute buzz for me to shoot behind the scenes in the store that I shopped on all those years ago! The Prada stickers on the store room door, the staffs graffiti on the stock room shelves! How could I not use that… HISTORY!
