Middlesbrough FC Third Kit Launch
To be able to post the official kit launch images for my hometown club, for the second season in a row is a boyhood dream. Strip inspired by the iconic Masham pub in the town that I remember shopping in as a kid when it became JD Sports! We are also top of the league as I type! #UTB
Its so easy to get caught up in the business, to be stressed with the deadlines, stuck in the edit, chasing the invoices, I regularly check in with myself to show gratitude for the opportunities and experiences that all of the hard work and dedication bring me. SHOOTING FOR MY CLUB, WOW! Thank you so much to Matt, Lee, Lucy, Liam and all the guys at the club for showing faith in me, a true honour and another pinch me moment!
“As well as a popular matchday watering hole for Boro fans across the decades before its closure as a pub in the mid-1990s, The Masham held a long connection with MFC stretching back to the Victorian era.”
The strip was inspired by The Masham pub in central Middlesbrough which back in the day was a famous watering hole on the way too and from games. The club wanted to acknowledge this by shooting in a ‘boozer’ and so they booked out the Railway Arms in Darlington close to the training ground and sent down the players. From the Mens team we had David Strelec, Sol Brynn, Aidan Morris, Dael Fry, and Sontje Hansen and from the ladies team we had Grace Boyes and Becky Ferguson. The players were all good sports although only Dale had a cheer pint! (Boro lad!) Time was tight and the space was fairly tricky to navigate so many shots out of, we worked fairly off the cuff and managed to cover the shot list, a staggered arrivals list would have possibly been better and a little more production required for next time but in general she shots did the trick and the club were happy.
